Karen has been a Registered Dietitian for 25 years acquiring a diverse level of expertise in clinical nutrition and food service management. She has a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts @ Amherst, trained at Emory University School of Medicine Internship and Master of Medical Science program and completed her Master of Business Administration Degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Karen was one of the founding members of the Nutrition Support Service at the University of Massachusetts Hospital, a Nutrition Consultant for Marriott Healthcare Services, and a Regional Dietitian for Sun Healthcare Group. She has been in private practice at Concord Hillside Medical Associates and Westford Internal Medicine. She has most recently held positions as a Nursing Home Administrator. She currently holds a patent pending for a software program designed for improving clinical documentation and care in nursing homes and is President of KP&M, Inc.
